According to Kathryn Morrow, the founder of the White Picket Fence Project, most of her clients are committed to their husbands but they have fallen completely out of love with them. They’re only sticking around for the sake of their children.
This is something Kathryn has deep personal experience of, after experiencing years of toxic and abusive behaviour from her husband. She settled for much less than she deserved because she was terrified of tearing her family apart.

Communication Is NOT Key
We’re told that constant communication with our partners will improve our relationships. But it needs to be the right kind of communication.
Cass explains, “Not knowing how to communicate but doing it anyway is worse than not communicating at all. You need to have the skills to deal with conflict without resorting to defensiveness, blame, and contempt towards your wife.”
Skip The Therapy
Cass firmly believes that therapy has a major flaw that nobody is willing to address: It teaches you the theory of communication, but never how to implement it.
He continues, “Even role-playing scenarios aren’t super helpful because they never include the emotions you will feel in the moment. Therapy brings you back in time, but not to where things were good. You’re reliving old trauma instead.”
Your Partner’s Past Is Your Problem
You fell in love with everything about your partner—including their baggage.
That means that their past is your problem. And the key way to resolve and correct trauma is through positive experiences.
Cass explains, “Your partner’s trauma didn’t bother you at the beginning of your relationship because your time together was full of great experiences. A full marriage reset starts with approaching each other positively.”
For example, if trauma in your relationship is created because you get aggressive and yell about your needs, a switch to positive communication is needed.
“If your gut reaction is to attack your partner with blame, defensiveness, and contempt, you need to communicate differently. Try laughing and joking together—banter does an incredible job of diffusing tension.”
You might be wondering why Cass and Kathryn work individually with their clients, rather than together. The reason is simple: When a relationship is in crisis, it is typically one party who takes the lead to fix it.
Cass explains, “Kathryn’s work is incredible for women who want to keep their families together. The cosmetic medicine industry has been growing for years and become a hugely profitable industry. But competitive markets focused on the human desire for youthfulness has often led to unethical practices. The biggest factor that shapes our behaviors is the information we receive. If this information is incorrect, it can have long-term negative consequences.
“The digital world with unmoderated swathes of information in multinational digital platforms like Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook poses more of a public health threat than most communicable diseases we have today,” said Dr. Mohamed Wisham, M.D., in a joint interview with Prof. Mariya Rusalenko, Ph.D. Both are experts in human endocrinology.
“As we have mentioned before, the urges and addictions of people easily deviate them to believe the easier, cheaper, and faster paths to achieve a youthful glow, it’s human nature. But we all, as medical professionals, are obligated to guide people to select the right paths to achieve this. It’s much cheaper, healthier, and keeps you away from diseases. And with a little effort, it is long-lasting,” noted Prof. Rusalenko.
Prof. Rusalenko and Dr. Wisham hail from the Republican Research Center for Radiation Medicine and Human Ecology; a complex research facility built to monitor and assess the Chernobyl disaster.
“We have been involved in research for 25 years on, and the most important thing we realize in the end is that the biggest impact comes with educating people from what we know, Just the basics can make a huge difference.”
In response to the challenges ahead, Dr. Wisham stated that “healthcare professionals do not have the weight or platforms to disseminate the information, and authorities today need to come up with ways to identify the non-verified misinformation in healthcare. Twitter has recently started the community notes, it is a good step in terms of verification of information, but there is a long way to go.”
“We can make a difference if we re-wire ourselves on how we assimilate and trust information, adhering more to research from accredited organizations.”
Both doctors recently launched their book, Hormones and Preserving Youth, which was written based on their own professional experiences and what they believe patients and people need to konw. The book explains how a proper lifestyle, mental state, and dieting culture are key to slowing the clock of aging and preventing many systemic diseases.
Their work on the book and drive to educate the public health has been praised by the President of the United Nations General Assembly, academics, and public health officials.

It’s oftentimes simplicity that proves the most striking in the world of luxury watches, especially stripping down a dial to the basics and then building it back up with some of the rarest materials on Earth. For its new Endeavor Perpetual Calendar, haute horology specialists H. Moser took things a step further and used a metal rarely seen in watches, if at all.
The handsome new Endeavor Perpetual Calendar Tantalum Blue Enamel builds off the watchmaker’s penchant for using rare dial and case materials, including the anti-corrosive tantalum–more commonly found on spacecraft thanks to its dense, strong and anti-acidic qualities.
For good measure, the movement within the Endeavor Perpetual Calendar uses a date complication that accounts perfectly for the Leap Year (or rather, the absence thereof this year).
The journey to develop such a precise and exquisitely crafted watch from such a rare material was a personal one for H. Moser & Cie. CEO Edouard Meylan.
The extremely malleable tantalum metal, which rather remarkably does not tarnish, requires “advanced metallurgical expertise,” the watchmaker noted.
“When I was 18, my parents gave me my first Haute Horology watch, which was made from
tantalum. Ever since then, I have dreamed of introducing this metal at H. Moser & Cie., in spite of the challenges it poses,” he said. “It took more than two years of testing before we were able to polish the surfaces of our case, a feat that few have been able to match, with most preferring to sandblast or satin-finish tantalum.”
H. Moser’s characteristic Grand Feu dial rounds out this impressive watch in striking fashion, using four different color pigments and a process of washing and crushing that’s then applied in an ombre effect.
That lends itself to extreme precision and requires to be fired twelve times to create a truly unique dial for each watch.
Of note, H. Moser calls the final product “resolutely contemporary, with a particularly complex texture,” and one glance is enough to drive home that point handsomely.
The impressively minimalist dial design itself is also a highlight that lets the enamel finish do the talking, with crisp 12 and 6-o’clock indices and a date window (set to automatically change at midnight) placed at 3-o’clock–no losing track of the time.
And yet, the watch itself can simply be set by using the crown function at any time of day, a touch so simple yet rarely seen in the world of haute horology.
The finished product is set on a rich kudu leather strap, and the out-of-this-world timepiece boasts a similarly wish list-worthy price tag of about $82,500, driving home the point that, as H. Moser says, “real luxury is a question of identity.”
Describing the 1961 Ferrari 250GT California that he so brazenly “borrowed” from his friend’s dad’s garage in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Matthew Broderick’s Ferris Bueller remarked, “It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.”
Now’s your chance to follow that sage advice, as Bonhams is auctioning one of the four very vehicles made for the coming-of-age comedy. This replica movie car, officially dubbed the 1985 Modena Spyder California, was manufactured by California’s Modena Design & Development using a bespoke multi-tube spaceframe chassis with precisely recreated wheelbase dimensions.
While only three roadgoing replica Ferris Bueller Ferraris were made for driving sequences—the fourth was made without a drivetrain to crash in the famed “odometer-reversing” scene—they are still more far more attainable than an actual Ferrari 250 GT California, which would be valued at $7 million-plus in even less-than-desirable condition.
The fiberglass body incorporates a steel cowl brace, steel door inners and steel boot lid, while power comes from rebranded 168-horsepower Ford 5.0-liter V8. Despite the classic gated shifter configuration found in between the tan leather seats, the engine is actually coupled to a four-speed automatic transmission—a 23-year-old Broderick reportedly hadn’t learned to drive a stick when filming began.

According to the seller, the car was acquired by the previous owner—a Los Angeles plastic surgeon—in 1989 from a Paramount Picture Cars employee as partial payment for services. The good doctor would retain the car for the next three decades, making a few minor updates—including adding disc brakes in the back and various cosmetic changes—and driving it sparingly. In the late oughts, the car was laid up at in a Beverly Hills garage and discovered by the seller after being parked for about a decade.
Recently serviced, it is reported to be ready to be secretly borrowed from your parents and valet parked. Complete with the aforementioned letter from Paramount Picture Cars as provenance of its movie history, also included are autographed pictures of movie stills featuring the Fauxrrari, a copy of the script signed by the cast, a poster featuring a replica prop ‘NRVOUS’ Illinois license plate, and a signed picture of Matthew Broderick as scene in the movie.
This 1985 Modena Spyder California hits the block at Bonhams’ Amelia Island Auction on March 2, where it’s expeted to fetch between $350,000 and $450,000.

Being born and raised in a peaceful country is something many take for granted. However, some people flee their countries for peace and safety. They often have had to cross borders with little more than the clothes on their backs, leaving behind homes, possessions, jobs, and even their loved ones.
In their new countries refugees have to start all over again, look for a new home, learn a new language, and find a way to put food on their tables often while facing racism and discrimination, leaving them feeling isolated and marginalized. Nevertheless, Albert Aldahawi is a refugee who has overcome many struggles to become a renowned professional wrestler and entrepreneur.
Albert, commonly known as Albie, was born in Amman, Jordan, but his family fled due to the war against Christians when he was just six years old. They relocated to Australia, where growing up was tough for him as he was thrust into a different culture and tasked with learning a new language, which made him distance himself from others even at school.
At home, he would watch wrestling with his father on television, and he then realized he was fond of the sport. Albie started posting videos on YouTube wrestling with his younger brother in the backyard, which amassed over 20 million views and opened new opportunities for him.
His early success on YouTube gave Albie a platform upon which he built the foundation of his career. Albie made his Australian Wrestling Federation (AWF) debut in 2014. He currently holds the AWF Tag-Team Champion title and holds wrestling and charity events in his local community.
His growth as a fitness model has seen him land shoots with renowned brands like Nike, Levi’s, and Men’s Health Magazine Australia. Albie has also created Albie Fragrance, which has sold over 96,000 bottles through Men’s Health Magazine Australia and Albieshop.com. He has also sold the rights to the Albie Perfume brand for 1.6 million Australian Dollars to City Perfume Australia.
In addition to his success as a professional wrestler and fitness model, he has also succeeded as an entrepreneur. In 2022, he and his business partner Steve Sidd started Catering HQ Logistics, where he is the director of 11 venues and employs over 300 staff, creating job opportunities.
Albie’s journey, however, has had many ups and downs. Many people judged him due to his Middle Eastern background. As a refugee who couldn’t yet speak fluent English, he was often criticized by his peers. But he did not let all this get him down. He ignored other people’s comments and believed in himself and his dreams.
Albie says it doesn’t matter where you come from or how hard your childhood was; what matters is the future and where you want to be in the years to come. He advises people to trust their intuitions and focus on fulfilling their potential. He also says giving up is not an option. You have to move on no matter the obstacles you encounter.
In the future, Albie hopes to win another championship with a wrestling company in Australia. Albie is working on starting a retail range within Catering HQ logistics, growing his catering company, and providing excellent quality, high-value meals to his customers. He is also working on a new fragrance for a new Albie collection, which he will promote through Men’s Health Magazine Australia.
Only two short years after Mercedes-Maybach launched its first S-Class—and eight years since Mercedes Daimler incorporated Maybach into Mercedes-Benz in 2015—the German marque’s pure luxury brand is going electric its first hybrid offering.
“With our first plug-in hybrid model, we are combining the luxury experience typical of Maybach with emission-free local driving when in electric driving mode,” Daniel Lescow, Head of Mercedes‑Maybach at Mercedes‑Benz Group AG, says of the new S 580e.
“The Mercedes‑Maybach S 580e represents a pivotal step in the transformation of our heritage brand into an electric future. We will present our first fully electric model as early as 2023.”
While hybrids are more environmentally friendly that combustion-powered counterparts, the decision to electrify the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class was made in the pursuit of silence. All manufacturers of chauffeur’s cars, including Rolls-Royce and Bentley, aim to make the cabin as quiet as possible.
When driven on pure electricity for up to 62 miles, the Mercedes-Maybach S 580e’s makes almost no noise, the brand promises. The faint whir of the electric motors will likely be the only audible tell that one’s in motion.
When performance is the foremost objective, the S 580e offers a combined 510 horsepower, the bulk of which comes from the standard S 580’s straight-six. Even at a weight approaching 5,000 pounds, it’ll hit 62 mph in brisk 5.1 seconds on the way to 155 mph.
Being a plug-in hybrid, the battery can also be recharged in just 30 minutes when paired with a 60 kW DC fast charger, while other cool “electric-specific” features include a concealed charging socket on the left side of the vehicle and blue color accents in the headlights and battery charging indicators.
The Mercedes-Maybach S 580e will be available in Chinese markets first before heading to Europe. Whether it will make it stateside will be revealed closer to the car’s full unveiling later this year.

Bidwise is a thriving business today thanks to its extensive network of content sites. These sites cover various topics, from credit cards and personal finance to merchant return policies, and their automated advertising system powers everything.
Bidwise’s rise to prominence is impressive, but the true success lies in the positive change that remote work brought to Simon’s life and those of his employees.
Simon can now work from anywhere due to the efficient remote structure he built into his company. He’s operated remotely from many cities around the world and recently temporarily settled down with his girlfriend on a ranch in Medellin, Colombia, to get in touch with nature and learn about the local culture. Heiress to both oil and football dynasties and a beauty pageant winner to boot, Gracie Hunt’s the girl who has it all. So what does she do? She gives it back. And she has even greater aspirations of her own.
When she’s not running marathons, Gracie, whose great-grandfather was famed oil tycoon H.L. Hunt, serves as a Special Olympics Ambassador and has served on the board of Special Olympics Texas and presently with Special Olympics Kansas.
She also works with New Friends New Life, which provides services and assistance for those victimized by human trafficking. Plus her seat on the board of Echelon, a body of young professionals in service to the Salvation Army, helping to alleviate poverty and hopelessness wherever it’s found. Not to mention, all the other volunteering she does including founding her own nonprofit, Breaking Barriers Through Sports.
“One of the things that I love doing most is giving back. It’s what makes me the happiest. Whether it’s painting a house for Habitat for Humanity or on the field for Special Olympics, it’s important to constantly focus on other people,” she tells us.
“Even though there’s a lot of heartache in the world, there’s also a lot of goodness and increasingly that is what brings me joy.”
In 2010 Gracie partnered with Athletes in Action on a soccer clinic for impoverished kids in South Africa during the World Cup. Four years later she landed in Brazil for the next World Cup and donated soccer gear to children from the favelas.
Here at home, her nonprofit work has contributed funds toward building multipurpose sports fields in disadvantaged areas. Gracie herself would be playing soccer today if she hadn’t suffered four concussions.
“Soccer helped build my relationship with my dad. He was my first coach when I was little and those are sweet memories I’ll always cherish,” she recalls. She had plans to play in college, but the concussions ended that dream.
Competitive sports transitioned to competitive pageantry as Gracie turned to her mother, Tavia, aka Miss Kansas 1993, for guidance in the pageant world.
“My mom ended up taking on a lot of the coaching for the pageant, so I had this wonderful dynamic where my dad was my soccer coach when I was young, and then when I began my pageant journey, my mom was an excellent resource as she was second runner up to Miss USA in 1993.”
Like her mother, Gracie was named Miss Kansas USA. And also like her mother, in the Miss USA competition she went home having placed at Miss USA.
“My mom and dad were engaged when she went to Miss USA. They got married shortly after she gave up her Miss Kansas USA title and they agreed that none of their kids would do pageants. My dad especially wanted us to participate in sports with scoreboards and finish lines and competitions that limit subjectivity.”
Over her five years competing in pageantry, she made lifelong friends and developed a strong sense of self and confidence along the way. Gracie won Miss Texas Teen International 2016, Miss Texas International 2018, and Miss Kansas USA 2021.
“I went from walking like a tomboy in my soccer cleats to gliding in six-inch pageant stilettos,” she laughs at the memory. “Like when all chapters in life come to an end, it was bittersweet. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to live out that dream to its fullest. This next chapter I’m stepping into is exciting, fun, and it’s allowed me the opportunity to discover new passions.”
Instead of licking her pageant wounds, Gracie traded her pageant heels for a pair of running shoes and, 13 hours before the start of the race, signed up for the Aspen Valley Marathon. It’s a gutsy move considering she had no real training. She spent some time in Aspen, hiking at 9,000 ft., but had never consistently run the mileage needed to become a marathoner. Even so, she finished in three hours and 45 minutes, just 15 minutes short of Boston Marathon qualifying.
Since then, Gracie has also run the Boulder Marathon and several half marathons. She’ll be running in the 2023 Boston Marathon to raise money for Camp Shriver, founded by Eunice Kennedy Shriver, which provides a Unified Sports experience for young people with and without disabilities.
In the Hunt household, things are extremely competitive. “Excellence in all you do is the attitude I grew up around. Bringing forth your best in whatever it is you do is something I’ve watched both my parents model,” she explains.
“When it comes to my newfound running passion, I love how supportive my friends and family have been. My mom always believes in me and has given me the support and encouragement to take leaps of faith throughout my life. My dad has a little stopwatch and enjoys tracking me and analyzing my splits during my races. Sometimes when I’m training, he cycles next to me and it’s great.”
Her father is a founding investor and owner in Major League Soccer and the NFL. Hunt Sports Group oversees not only the Kansas City Chiefs, but FC Dallas and, formerly, the Columbus Crew, and the Kansas City Wizards of MLS. His father, Lamar Hunt, founded the Chiefs in 1960, calling them the Dallas Texans, a charter member of the American Football League. The team moved to Kansas City in 1963.
The Chiefs will battle the Philadelphia Eagles in their third-ever Super Bowl appearance on February 12. The franchise is vying for its second NFL title following its inaugural, Super Bowl LIV championship win against the 49ers in 2020.
“From the time I was a baby toddling around, I was dressed in red and gold and grew up on those sidelines.” Gracie laughs about growing up with Chiefs DNA.
“I’m very fortunate to have excellent role models in my life. Observing my parents’ tireless work ethics has made me want to make the most of each opportunity before me.” She graduated early and with honors from Southern Methodist University with degrees in journalism and in applied physiology and sport management.
Currently pursuing her master’s degree in sports management at the University of Kansas, she also works with the team on brand development and marketing, and yes, she will be attending the NFL draft this spring in Kansas City.
“You hear about the war room and there really is a war room,” she nods. “Our team’s scouts and coaches work hard to run all the different scenarios so that it takes as much pressure as possible off that moment when you’re on the clock. It’s almost like a game of chess. Identifying talent that other teams might grade differently is essential to a successful draft. Sometimes things don’t go the way you anticipate and it’s about navigating curve balls. Other times, it’s about knowing who you want and making the move to trade up and draft a guy you’re really excited about.”
In other words, Gracie’s a part of the family business and means to smash any glass ceiling that gets in her way. You hear that, Roger Goodell? She’s coming for you. “There’s got to be a first female NFL commissioner at some point,” she shrugs. Being surrounded by some of the finest athletes in the country is inspiring and motivating.
As far as Gracie’s love life goes, she is a free agent herself. “I’m definitely looking for that number one draft pick” she says with a smile. But before you jump in line be sure you measure up. “My top three things: does he align with me on a faith basis? Is he athletic? What does his work ethic look like? And if you’re funny with a great personality that’s hard to beat.”
Her focus on fitness and health originally came from a Celiac disease diagnosis at a young age. “I’ve known what it feels like to be sick and not know why.” This led her to pursue her nutrition accreditation and personal training certification, doling out advice on the subject wherever needed. “Health and nutrition are something I care a lot about, and I love creating delicious and healthy dishes in the kitchen.”
“I like to stay grounded by focusing less on myself and more on other people. In the ‘selfie-focused’ culture we live in, staying focused on what really matters can sometimes be difficult,” she adds with a shake of her head.
“I’ve found happiness to be a product of circumstance and joy to be a daily decision. Walking through life joyfully each day is a decision you get to make every single morning when you wake up. I’m someone who is fueled by choosing joy and fostering gratitude.” We won’t be at all surprised if Gracie follows in her grandfather’s footsteps and builds an empire of her own.
