Hypebeast points out that the premium black suede upper is emblazoned with a tumbled leather Nike Swoosh in Tiffany’s trademarked shade of robin egg blue, while the entire sole, laces and pebbled leather overlays are rendered in black.
The outer tongue is branded with white “Tiffany” script in cursive, and the heel features a metallic badge stamped with “925,” a reference to American silver standard set by Tiffany & Co. at 925 per 1,000 parts silver.
An all-sterling silver accessory collection accompanies the collaborative kicks: a shoe horn, shoe brush, a whistle, and the AF1 lace clips with T, C, and O overlaid lettering. All of these are sold separately from the shoes.
While the Nike x Tiffany & Co. AF1 1837 sneakers don’t launch until March 7 online and at select physical locations, the brands are already building hype with an Instagram pic of a Tiffany Blue Nike shoebox simply captioned “a legendary pair.”

It’s “Still D.R.E.” when it comes to Dr. Dre’s penchant for inking blockbuster business deals.
The rapper, music producer and cofounder of Beats By Dre–which Apple bought in 2014 for $3 billion–is selling a lucrative collection of music income streams and other assets in a $200 million-plus deal, according to multiple reports.
The assets, which generate nearly $10 million annually, are being acquired by Shamrock Holdings and Universal Music Group in two separate transactions. The deals were shopped by Dre’s longtime attorney Peter Paterno. The news was first reported by Billboard and confirmed by Variety.
A source close to Dre told Variety that the final sale price is likely to be below the $250 million asking price, but well above $200 million.
The assets are said to include artist royalties from two of his solo albums and his share of N.W.A. artist royalties; his producer royalties; and the writer’s share of his song catalog where he doesn’t own publishing, which may include songs from his 1993 blockbuster album The Chronic.
According to Billboard’s sources, that portion includes 75% to 90% of the package’s revenue and is likely being acquired by Shamrock (which owns some Taylor Swift master recordings), with UMG acquiring the remaining 10% to 25%.
Also included in UMG’s acquisition would be the master recording of The Chronic, which is scheduled to revert to Dre from Death Row Entertainment (which recently was acquired by Dre’s protégé Snoop Dogg last year) in August; his share of an Aftermath/Interscope joint venture with the Top Dawg label for Kendrick Lamar releases through that deal; and other assets.
The Universal deal does not include Dre’s ownership stake in the Aftermath label, which he co-owns with his longtime label home, UMG’s Interscope Records.
In addition to his myriad of business assets, Dre was named the top-earning artist of the 2010s by Forbes, which reported that he raked in more than $950 million over that decade.

Despite the many advances made by women since the Congress passed the 19th Amendment, true gender equality remains elusive in many areas of society. From the wage gap to the disproportionate burden of household labor, women continue to be held back in many ways.
A recent World Economic Forum Global Gender Gap Report demonstrated that the Survival and Educational Attainment gender gap had been closed by 95.8% and 94.4%, respectively. But the problematic parts are still Economic Participation and Opportunity and Political Empowerment gaps, which are closed by 60.3% and 22%.
As Amela Smailbegović explains, the numbers may show a favorable situation in some areas. However, women still have to constantly fight for better positions in business and life with more outstanding dedication and commitment than men—something she experiences daily.
“We fight every day to be heard and treated with respect. It’s not easy to accept when your opinion doesn’t matter just because you are a woman,” she says. “But that can’t stop and discourage you from trying to succeed and be the best.”

Another solution is to change the way we think about gender. “We must challenge the traditional ideas about what it means to be a man or a woman, “says Amela. “We must avoid stereotypes and focus on each individual’s unique talents and abilities. Only then can we truly start to achieve equality.”
Though there is still much work to be done, Amela points out there are many ways that everyone can get involved in the fight against gender inequality. From attending rallies and protests to donating to charitable organizations and mentoring other women, there are many ways to make your voice heard.
“We still have a lot of work to do regarding gender equality. And it’s not just about women being treated the same as men,” she says. “It’s about everyone having the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of gender.”
It is a fight for a world where everyone has an equal voice and chance to succeed. “That’s why we need to fight for a world where everyone is valued for who they are, not what they are,” she adds. “That’s why we need to fight for a truly equal world.”

Sofia Vergara kicked off 2023 with a sexy swimsuit-clad statement. For her first post of the new year, the Modern Family star sported a blue-and-white hot Dolce & Gabbana one-piece from a beachy vacay with husband Joe Manganiello.
